Dear Emily,
Happy 1st Birthday sweet baby girl! Daddy and I love you so very much! We can’t believe you are already one year
old! Where has the time gone? You are such a sweet, smart, playful, happy
little girl. You are trying so hard to
walk lately! You can stand alone for
several seconds at a time and took your first 2 steps recently. You are a girly girl! You LOVE to wear your necklace, headbands,
and shoes. You tap them sometimes
because you want us to tell you how pretty they are! It is so sweet! Your favorite thing to do is go
outside!!!! You want to go outside all
the time! When you are outside, you love
to go for trike rides, blow bubbles, get in your little pool, and check the mail! You open the mailbox by yourself and look
inside. Once you shook your head no,
said “no may” for no mail, and closed the mailbox! Usually you get the mail and then pass it
out. You are so proud when you get to do
this!
Your favorite foods are meat and bread!!! We say you take after your grandpas!!! (We also think you will be left handed like
your grandpas!) You also love avocados,
peaches, and carrots. You eat lots of
steamed veggies and fresh fruits now but still love baby foods! You have 4 teeth on the bottom and 2 on top! You love to look at pictures. Grandma Phyllis has pictures of lots of
kiddos (all relatives) on the fridge and you love to have us tell you the names
of everyone! You listen so
patiently! You love to read books. Mommy reads books to you every night before
bed. Sometimes you like books during the
day too but you always love them at night!!! You have so many silly little games that you
love to play with us, such as tilting your head and smiling while you are
eating. You want everyone else to do the
same back to you!
You are trying to talk a lot! Your first words were “Hi Dada.” Most kids have one first word…you had
two!!! You can also say mama, ma-maw (Grandma),
Pa-paw (Grandpa), ball, Elijah, bathtub, belly button, car, people, mail,
hippo, hop hop (what a bunny does), cracker, and bye bye. You don’t say the words perfectly of course,
but you say them the same way each time and you use them correctly! That is a lot of words for a one year
old!!! You also roar like a lion and try
to make all the other animal sounds too.
You really do love animals!!! You
have the sweetest laugh in the whole world.
There is absolutely nothing better than hearing you laugh.
You love spending time with your grandparents too! Grandma Phyllis and Grandpa Jerry are lucky
because they get to see you almost every day since we are living in Tell City
right now. You absolutely love
them! We say you are Grandma’s girl and
Grandpa’s buddy. You love to dance with
Grandma. Whenever she says the word dance,
you put your head on her shoulder so you’re ready! Sometimes you even sing with her! You love to play on the floor with
Grandpa! He crawls and chases you around
the house and plays with all of your toys with you! You love to visit Grandma Cheryl and Grandpa
Steve too. You like seeing the doggies
at their house and get so excited for them!
You love grandma’s toy bag and look for it each time you see them!
You are such a smart little girl! You notice everything around you and
understand everything we say! You amaze
us! Little Emily Grace, you are
absolutely perfect! We love you so
much!!!!!!!!
