Boo at the Zoo!

We had an exciting day Saturday! We went to Boo at the Zoo! (Bronx Zoo) We had a great time and Emily sure seemed to enjoy it too! She liked watching all of the little kids in costume...so cute! She got super excited about the giraffes and really liked some of the other animals also.  (You can see in one picture that Emily is waving to the giraffes!  She is in her stroller, leaning forward, and waving!  Too cute!)  It was a beautiful fall day so it really was a perfect zoo day!

A couple weeks ago, we went to Toys R Us.  Thank goodness, Phillip noticed a sign there that said "Spend $30, get a free zoo ticket."  We planned to go to the zoo anyway!  A Bronx Zoo ticket costs $33!  That deal sounded too good to be true...but it worked!  We picked out a giraffe puppet for Emily, a Statue of Liberty giraffe for Emily and one for Elijah, a Cookie Monster NYPD shirt for Elijah, and another silly little giraffe for Emily.  Phillip and I paid separately and each got a free zoo ticket!  The tickets worked great and we got in the zoo for "free" with our Toys R Us tickets!  What a deal!!!!  Emily and Elijah made out great from that deal!

Emily sleeps in her pack and play here.  We bought a real mattress for it though because we didn't like the idea of her sleeping in the pack and play for 2 months!  The mattress is wonderful though and we think she really likes it!  I thought the pic of her sleeping was just too cute!  She ALWAYS sleeps with her arm around a giraffe!

She is getting better about playing by herself and it is so sweet when she does!  The other pic shows her very first ponytail!!!!  She actually seemed to like it but I took it out after about 45 minutes.  It was cute though!!!
