The bridge hated me today!

A group of us played tennis again this morning. Can’t think of a better way to start the day! Then I went to Steph’s (a 5th semester spouse) apartment to get a couple things I had claimed when she posted her for sale list. We got hair trimmers! Nice! Now I get to buzz Phillip’s hair…hmmmm…this could be scary! Lol! Then Hetal came over and we went shopping in Philipsburg this afternoon. She had never been to Front Street! We had fun and got some more free jewelry! Can’t beat that! We got stopped at the Simpson Bay Bridge on the way home though…ugh! It didn’t take long this time though.

After Philipsburg, Phillip and I took off driving to Captain Oliver’s in Oyster Pond to pick up Alicia and her mom from the ferry. On the way, we got stopped of course by the bridge going up again. Then 2 police cars with lights and sirens on flew past everyone, right up to the bridge! Sure enough, they put the bridge back down, let the 2 police cars through and no one else, then put it back up again. So it took even longer! Figures! (I jumped out of the driver’s seat, ran across the road, and took a pic while we were stopped in traffic! Gotta love it!) They really enjoyed St. Barth’s! They have fun stories and it is definitely someplace we’d like to go to. The ferry going over there made tons of people seasick though, so that’s not good. They bought me a gift for taking them to the ferry and picking them back up! The coolest purse! I absolutely love it! That was so sweet! Then they also insisted on buying us pizza tonight! So they ordered Dominoes and we went back to their place for dinner. It was sooooo good!

So it’s time for more pics! Hope you enjoy! Phillip’s lab exam day…last day in his scrubs and lab coat! Woo-hoo! Random couple at the beach…but check out the bird on his shoulder!!! That was crazy! Full Moon Party pics! Notice the ocean right beside the bonfire! Fun! Simpson Bay Bridge up! Animal pics…all the animals here are totally random! We frequently see chickens, roosters, goats, cows, horses, and now even donkeys. Seriously they’re in the middle of the roads, just wandering around and cars have to stop for them. It’s very different from animals inside fences at home! 7 Alive…we all think that’s a funny name for a grocery store, since there are 7 Elevens at home! Captain Oliver’s is a restaurant that you enter on the Dutch side, but part of the restaurant is on the French side. It sits right on the border! Kinda cool! So they have that little sign there to show it! And that’s my cool new purse!
